Prestige Curriculum

Learning and growing together

ACE

The curriculum contains ideas and lesson plans for creative activities, in
addition to songs, character formation lessons and day-to-day stories, as well
as ideas for thematic tables. This also reinforces the color, shape and number
while introducing phonetics.

Cambridge programmes

Cambridge programmes combine an emphasis on mastering subjects in depth with the development skills for study and work in the future. We value deep subject knowledge as well as the conceptual understanding that helps students make links between different aspects of a subject. We also encourage students to develop higher order thinking skills – problem solving, critical thinking, independent research, collaboration and presenting arguments. These are transferable skills that will last a lifetime, preparing students for their future lives. They also make learning enjoyable and rewarding

Accelerated Education enterprises (AEE) is the provider of the Program (ACE) in South Africa and is the headquarters for Africa. AEE makes use of an International (American) curriculum, having all the content through a process that makes it more relevant within a South African and African context. This has enabled us to create efficient learning materials; enabling the access of students to reach their full potential. This program places a strong emphasis on building student character, and an excellent academic background with a very good track record of students with successful progress in tertiary institutions around the world. Students who emerge from this program are equipped with life skills that are necessary to be leaders in any sector of economy that they serve. They are taught to be independent, reliable and efficient, with the ability to make proper planning forward. The objectives of the school are to train young people in the highest moral principles, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity and good citizenship.

About the curriculum

The concept of A.C.E. was initiated by Dr. Donald Howard in Texas. Since then, this system has spread to more than 6000 schools in more than 135 countries around the world.

Prestige School makes use of the South African national warehouse in Durban. There are 166 full ACE curriculum and 139 Missionary schools in South Africa and 140 other schools in different African countries.
Teachers (supervisors) and assistants (monitors) are trained in the use of
this system in national training centers.
This educational system has been widely accepted by universities and other Academic institutions around the world and each individual school registers with its local education department.
ACE is an individualized learning system. This means students embark on a journey of Self-Learning and Goal Setting as they work through each PACE (or Work modules), covering all disciplines, from mathematics and science, to
languages and social studies, based on solid academic principles and more than 30 years of research and development, and this curriculum has a
complete learning program from kindergarten to the 12th. Class. All teacher and student support materials are developed in self-educational disciplines saving preparation hours. From Kindergarten (Pre) to 12th Class.

INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING

There are modules in each of the following disciplines:
• Mathematics
• English
• Literature and Creative Writing
• Social Studies
• Sciences and Life Science (Biology) (Physics) Chemistry
• Bible Reading
• Word Building

Each curriculum course consists of 12 modules. Most students complete a minimum of 70 modules in an academic year, although this varies according to student capacity and school efficiency. The supervisor sees that each student maintains the academic level in his subjects, completing approximately the same number of modules in each discipline. Advanced students can progress at a faster rate. Slower students are encouraged to do their best while working at their own level of proficiency and proceed as they are able. If a student is reaching more than 70 PACES, he/she is encouraged to make additional modules in the weaker subjects. PACE's levels may vary, depending on the use of the student in each discipline and according to the academic recipe developed for each student from their diagnostic test scores. A highly motivated and capable student can work in seven disciplines at a time. Slow students at levels 1-4 can try three (or maybe only two) subjects at a time They can be prescribed up to five academic disciplines. Throughout the Academic Year, a student may be working at a different level in each of their Subjects We recently introduced the Cambridge international curriculum at AS level, with more levels being introduced in the coming years.

Nursery (Tiny Tots group)

Playing is the Foundation for all learning for young children. Giving them the time and basic toys can provide them with a variety of valuable learning opportunities. Tiny Tots provides children 2-3 years old with the opportunity to learn, experiment, investigate and interact with the environment. It offers the child's experiences to think, plan, create, do and discover in a safe environment. This child development program presents a solid base year for children from 3 years before entering kindergarten (Class 0/R). The daily program provides learning and development through discovery, engagement and reinforcement, and age-appropriate challenges.

ABC (1st CLASS) WITH ACE AND CHRISTI

This is the first-class program that teaches students to read and recognize
images, shapes, and create sentences.
They continue to learn the English alphabet and advanced sounds (e.g.,
combined sounds) phonetically.
Students are trained to read and work independently.
From there, students start working independently at their own pace
while mentoring the supervisor at the learning center.
